A POP of colour

Sadly we have reached the end of 'Monochrome Month', therefore I though it was only right I added a pop of colour to my blog. I decided to send my burgundy Charlotte Olympia's to a better place and have replaced them with these babies. I think I'm a little afraid of colour if I'm being entirely honest. It's almost as if I have a colourful shoes quota.

I picked these up over Christmas,  I really wanted the black suede Anouk's but they didn't have the 5" heel in Selfridges and these were on sale so I thought why not! Jimmy Choo now do 'Made to Order' monogrammed shoes so I will be doing some serious saving for the black ones. Until then I'm going to try and incorporate these beautiful shoes in to as many outfits as possible. Also, how gorgeous does Jourdan Dunn look on this Vogue cover!

Monochrome Month 5

Monochrome Month is over :( I'm so glad I got to take part in this venture. I'm yet to meet with these ladies but from our interactions I already know that they are beautiful inside and out. I wanted to do a post showcasing my favourite looks from the ladies and also include a look that didn't quite make it into the month. I hope you will all join me in following these beautiful ladies!

Monochrome Month 4

We are nearing the end of Monochrome month :'(  I've really enjoyed doing these posts and I am grateful to these lovely ladies for all their encouragement and kind words during the month! They all have incredible style... follow them all here...

With this look I opted for this fun, flirty skirt. Monochrome is perfect for a statement item like this. I decided to keep it all black as I didn't want the outfit to look too 'busy'. I decided I didn't need to wear a white top to fulfil the monochrome criteria so opted for this Whistles bag. I love the little pop of white the bag brings to the look.. A white bag, scarf or hat can add a little extra to a simple black outfit. I couldn't resist putting this gorgeous white coat on also. I know I'm going to have to find a great dry cleaner to keep this beauty spotless!

Monochrome Month 3

First of all, are you following these beautiful ladies yet?? They have been posting some amazing monochrome outfits! At the end of Monochrome Month we are all going to meet up and discuss the monochrome trend. As I am new to blogging I am beyond excited to be meeting fellow bloggers! You can follow them all here:

I really love how laid back this outfit is, it's so simple however, the shoes and bag just add that extra bit of glam that I love. The ASOS WHITE bomber isn't something I would normally purchase, however I became a bit obsessed with the way it looked on the ASOS model and decided to go ahead and purchase it. It was also on sale so how could I resist?

If someone had told me, when I started this blog, that I'd be doing outfit posts I would never have believed them. I am, most definitely not a 'fashion blogger' or 'stylist' but in such a short space of time 'Monochrome Month' has really made me think about my personal style and made me realise that it's ok to step out of your comfort zone. So yay to the outfit posts!

Monochrome Month 2

A black skirt is probably the most versatile piece of clothing you can own. I mean you can't really go wrong. I have pretty much always picked trousers over  skirts my whole life but I can't deny how flattering a good skirt can be. A-line and midi skirts will allow you that edge of smartness that trousers may not always give you. I loved wearing this outfit! How cool is this beanie with a detachable veil (link below) - I think it worked well to tone down the formal nature of the outfit.

I'm excited to post my next monochrome look! I have a fun look coming up with a black mini (stay tuned!)

Have we all followed the other ladies taking part in Simple Yet Stylish's monochrome month??
